I was in the Park when I heard the news about Wags Wagglestein, my attorney. Next thing I knew I was headed downtown. It had been a long time since I had been down to Mulberry Street, and suddenly I was feeling nostalgic.
My Time Spent in the Mob is the latest in the Flashbytes series from worst-selling author Philip Loyd. The events of this story are true, although in real life they actually occurred in three different places. We really did party with a mob of circus freaks, there really was a mobster’s mom choking at the bar, and the bar where it all went down (the one we were sure was frequented by the Mob) is still there today.
Philip Loyd loves fat chicks and cheap beer, though not necessarily in that order. Loyd has worked for TheStreet.com, Forbes, and McGraw Hill, each time running for his life as if waking up from a bad dream. Loyd lives in Dumbass, Texas.
